exeter contemporary sounds were formed in 2001 to provide Exeter with an ensemble performing contemporary music
by local composers as well as those more established.

ECS are currently planning an exciting performance tour to Southwest venues of new and recent music
combining string quartet, pre-recorded audio and film.



The three works to be performed are:

Simon Belshaw's Between the Moon and the Earth (2001)

Steve Reich's Different Trains (1988)

Paul Whitty …bury my love like treasure… (a new work)
